Tephrosia sp. "Picnic Bay" (wild indigo) has been added to the website.

This plant was previously thought to be Tephrosia purpurea ssp. sericea, but is now thought to be a species endemic to Picnic Bay here on Magnetic Island, and its article has been rewritten.

We should be very interested to hear from anyone who has any further knowledge concerning it.

A new photograph (ripe fruits 2) has been added to Mimusops elengi (red coondoo). The fruits of this tree have also been added to the UNUSUAL FRUITS page, as have also the fruits of Adenanthera pavonina (red bead tree). Many visitors to Magnetic Island find this page a great help when they wish to identify plants observed here. The FLOWER COLOUR pages also receive similar use.
