New Version of website

This is my first blog entry for some time. For the last nine months I have been busy completely re-writing the website, and we are hopefully getting close to releasing the new version,  replacing the old one. The information about the plants remains much the same, but the reader will find the pictorial side of the site much enhanced, and will also, I hope, find the site more user-freindly, and even faster, particularly with links.

A feature of the new version is how it alters the way it is set out for use on smartphone and tablet, which many now use to access the website - phones are now used for nearly 40% of all hits.

For some months now, since the end of April, new plants have not been added to the old version of the site, but only into the new version.

The latest plant added is Celosia argentea (purple flamingo feathers).
